Zurich's parks

If you wish to go for a quiet stroll in the sunshine, but don’t want to go too far away from the city itself, you can choose among the numerois parks that Zurich has to offer to its inhabitants. Here are the address and access details:

Belvoir Park

The Belvoir Park is the largest park in the city of Zurich. It is situated beside the lake and the most suitable public transport stop is the Brunaustrasse tram station.

University of Zürich Botanical Garden

The University of Zürich Botanical Garden offers an environment of exceptional scents and is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The nearest bus stop is Botanischer Garten.

Bruno Weber Sculpture Park

The Bruno Weber Skulpturenpark is a little off-centre (it is situated in the suburbs of Zurich, in Dietikon, stop: Gjuchstrasse Dietikon), but it is worth going there to visit. Children love it, not only because of the abundant vegetation, but especially because this park is inhabited by extraordinary (cement) creatures onto which they can climb without being scolded!

Bäcker Park

The nicest park in Zurich is perhaps the Bäcker Park. Close to the city centre, it offers its visitors and inhabitants an opportunity to relax, to stroll and to take a siesta! It is situated along the Hohlstrasse.

Grün Stadt park

The ‘Green city’ (Grün Stadt) park in Zurich accommodates a farm with horses, goats, sheep, cows and pigs! It is open every day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is situated very close to the Juchhof station, along Bernerstrasse.

Platzspitz

The Platzspitz park is the central park of Zurich. Open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., it offers you, at the very heart of the city centre, along the Limmat river, a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The nearest station is Sihlquai.
